Last FM - social network for brutal death (not only)

If you yet don't know last.fm BLAME IT ON GOD and go to visit it now!
Last FM is the most important musical social network and it's very important for brutal death metal and extreme music in general.

You can listen to complete tracks (not always) or sample from every metal band. While you are listening to a specific track the last.fm's engine shows you many other similar artists, let you know other people into this kind of music and so on, as every social network ( if don't know what a social network is. . .BLAME IT ON GOD ).

Maybe if you cannot listen to the whole track you can view in strem the official videos and lives for every band. This is better than youtube, wich in too much dispersive if you are looking for music that kicks ass!

Internet + Guitar Pro is the learning revolution

Even if my friend W sometimes can check what i am doing with the guitar i discover what i think is the best learning method.

I installed Guitar Pro in my Windows partition, even if at moment i am looking for some software for linux. It's really a good software, it allows you to play thousands tabs you can find in internet!

So if you are trying to play a specific riff in a song all you have to do is to download the tab, play it on guitar pro and play it on you guitar in real time! it's really easy and this system allow you to know how to play the music you really like. You have not to play all that stupid music that instructors generally suggest as exercise. Also in metal there are interest exercises to develop a good guitar skill.

I don't live in cool places like florida or california for death metal, unfortunely i live in Italy (that's the reason for my poor english, lol)! There aren't death metal guitar players here so guitar pro is really necessary.

The first seven days i started to play some scales, riffs and songs. I absolutely started playing the first riff of "the rime of the ancient mariner" from Iron Maiden's Powerslave. It was really hard!

I continued with:
Metallica - Fade to black first arpeggio
Blind Guardian - The bard songs first arpeggio
Pantera - Cowboys from hell first riff ( i needed 4 days to play it at the right time!!! )
Iron Maiden - Fear of the dark (the whole song). Holy shit this is very easy!
Metallica - Nothing else matter first arpeggio
Metallica - Enter Sadman first riff
Iron Maiden - hallowed by thy name first riff

I am listening to metal since 1990 but playing the guitar let me understand better the music, even if i am a fuckin newbie!

Playing Cowboys from hell first riff made my cock bigger!!!
This is the point, with internet and the right software i can learn how to play the music i like!

Mentally Obsessed. . . the path to Brutal Death Metal

This a blog to follow the path to become a brutal death metal guitar player!

I never played guitar before and i started last week when a friend decided to give me his aocustic guitar. He uses to play the bass in a death metal band and the electric guitar at home. He hadn't time to play the aocustic guitar so gave it to me.

I decided to learn how to play this instrument but i have to admit i will need costance!

I decided to post here all my progresses (i hope to put here my registrations soon) and music influences. I don't know if this is the first blog about this point of view.

I started with brutal death metal in mind and i will keep it there all the time, so this is an exclusive path to become a deathster, this is my journey to play brutal death metal!
